SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Price for goods and services among South Korean suppliers fell for the third consecutive month due to lower price for farm goods, central bank data showed Wednesday.
The producer price index (PPI) dipped 0.1 percent in October from a month earlier, continuing to slide since August, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).
Price for agricultural, livestock and fishery products among suppliers tumbled 8.7 percent last month after increasing 5.3 percent in the previous month.
Agricultural products price dropped 10.5 percent, with livestock products price plunging 9.1 percent.
Producer price for industrial products, including oil products, rose 0.2 percent in October on a monthly basis, turning around after slipping 0.8 percent in August and 0.7 percent in September.
Price for electricity, natural gas and tap water gained 0.8 percent in October compared to the previous month.
Service price added 0.2 percent in the cited month due mainly to higher costs for the eatery and lodging, and the real estate service. ■
