KABUL, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan caretaker government has certified 12 projects worth more than 146 million U.S. dollars, the office of the acting deputy prime minister for economic affairs has said.
The projects included construction of university dormitories in Kandahar, Zabul and Nimroz provinces, restoring Kandahar airport, reconstructing Qaisar-Laman road in Badghis province, and rehabilitating both railway and non-railway facilities of Hairatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway in the northern Balkh province.
The Afghan caretaker government plans to launch more development and infrastructure projects across the war-ravaged country to tackle economic challenges and create job opportunities. ■
