SINGAPORE, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Retail sales in Singapore rose 1 percent year-on-year in July, reversing the 0.6 percent decline in June, according to data released by the Department of Statistics on Thursday.
Motor vehicle sales in Singapore grew 27.2 percent in July compared to a year earlier. Excluding motor vehicles, the retail turnover declined 2.3 percent from last year.
The estimated retail sales value in July was 4 billion Singapore dollars (3.07 billion U.S. dollars), including 11.9 percent from the online market. ■
