TASHKENT, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 66,000 small enterprises in Uzbekistan have paid taxes totaling 7.1 trillion soums (564.4 million U.S. dollars) as of July 1 this year, up 31.5 percent compared with the same period last year, authorities said Monday.
In the first half of 2024, the turnover of small enterprises amounted to more than 80.6 trillion soums (6.4 billion dollars), an increase of 24.9 percent from the same period last year, said the press center of the state tax committee of Uzbekistan.
Currently, there are over 387,100 micro and small enterprises operating in Uzbekistan, it said. ■
