SINGAPORE, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's manufacturing production decreased 3.9 percent year-on-year in June, following a 2.3 percent expansion in May, according to the Economic Development Board Friday.
Biomedical manufacturing output contracted 23.2 percent year-on-year last month due to a 47.1 percent decline in the pharmaceuticals segment. Electronic production decreased 5.5 percent in June compared to a year ago.
Transport engineering output grew 10.3 percent in June, supported by a 19.5 percent growth in the marine and offshore engineering segment. ■
