ULAN BATOR, July 24 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of the host country France and the International Olympic Committee, Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and his wife Luvsandorj Bolortsetseg will attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris on July 26, according to the Mongolian presidential office's website on Wednesday.
According to the Mongolian National Olympic Committee statement, 33 athletes are expected to compete across nine sports at the Olympic Games.
Athletes from Mongolia have taken part in most of the modern Olympic Games held since 1964. Mongolian athletes have won a total of 30 medals, all in Summer Olympics competitions, in freestyle wrestling, boxing, shooting, and judo. ■
