SYDNEY, July 16 (Xinhua) -- An 11-year-old boy has died after a fatal traffic accident in the Australian state of Queensland on Tuesday.
Queensland Police said in a statement that at approximately 3:45 p.m. local time, a bus was traveling along Jingellic Drive near Karawatha Drive when it struck a bicycle.
It said that the 11-year-old rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital where he was later declared deceased.
The bus driver, a man in his 60s, was not physically injured, and is assisting police with investigations, the police added. ■
