JAKARTA, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia on Monday called on the United Nations Security Council and nations backing Israel to take immediate and decisive action in response to Israel's operations in Palestine, particularly after the recent assault on the al-Jaouni school.
Through its official social media platform, the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry strongly condemned the attack on the school in the Nuseirat refugee camp, operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in central Gaza.
The ministry referred to the attack as "barbaric."
The escalation of Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 2023 has resulted in the loss of lives and affected many innocent civilians. ■
