COLOMBO, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's cabinet has approved the initial draft of a bill to facilitate the economic reform process in the South Asian country, a statement from the government's information department said on Tuesday.

The department said the clearance of the attorney general has been received for the draft bill.

The cabinet of ministers granted approval for the proposal furnished by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to publish it in the government gazette notification and forward to the parliament for approval, according to the department.
