YANGON, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed with 10 others injured in a three-vehicle collision in southern Myanmar, a local police officer told Xinhua on Friday.
The crash occurred in Nyaunglebin Township of the Bago Region at around 12:00 p.m. local time on Friday.
The accident was triggered by a head-on collision between a canter truck and a light truck. Subsequently, the light truck collided with a 22-wheeler truck traveling behind it, he said.
The light truck was caught between the two larger vehicles, resulting in its complete destruction, he added.
Two men and one woman aboard the canter truck were killed on the spot. Of the injured, two men on the light truck were seriously injured, along with one man and one woman on the 22-wheeler truck.
The injured were rushed to the local hospital, the police officer said. ■
