TOKYO, April 24 (Xinhua) -- An All Nippon Airways (ANA) aircraft reporting a hydraulic system issue landed at an airport in Hokkaido in northern Japan on Wednesday, local media reported.

No injuries have been reported among 213 people on board the Boeing 787 plane, which had departed from Tokyo's Haneda airport and landed at New Chitose Airport, national news agency Kyodo reported.

The airline said oil leaked from the aircraft, resulting in what appears to be white smoke, possibly due to the oil vaporizing as it neared the engines.

At around 5:35 p.m. local time, the airport notified local firefighters of the incident. They did not have to hose water on the plane as the smoke reported initially was no longer seen after the aircraft landed, according to the report.

The airport briefly suspended the use of its two runways, with the plane towed to an airport apron. Operations of both runways have resumed later.
