TASHKENT, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's permanent population has exceeded 37 million, the country's statistics agency reported on Monday.
Males account for 18.6 million people and females 18.3 million, according to the agency.
The population of Uzbekistan has increased by more than 200,000 since the beginning of this year, according to reports.
The country's population reached 36 million back in December 2022. ■
