ISLAMABAD, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Ten terrorists were killed and three others injured in two separate operations in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, the military has said.
The security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan district of KP, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement on Saturday.
During the first operation, four terrorists were killed during a clash between security forces and terrorists initially, whereas, during the follow-up clearance operation, four more terrorists were killed, according to the ISPR statement.
In a separate operation, the movement of five terrorists, who were trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces, said the ISPR.
"After an intense fire exchange, two terrorists were killed, while three other terrorists got injured," the ISPR said. ■
