HONG KONG, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted Near West Coast of Honshu, Japan at 09:42 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 43.1 km, was initially determined to be at 37.10 degrees north latitude and 136.87 degrees east longitude. ■
