NEW DELHI, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- India's retail inflation rose to 5.69 percent in December 2023, the latest government data showed Friday.
According to the data released by the federal ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MoSPI), the inflation based on Consumer Price Index (CPI) in December 2023 is 5.69 percent.
In November 2023, CPI was 5.55 percent.
The rise in retail inflation in December is mainly attributed to a rise in prices of some food articles. ■
