YANGON, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar earned over 2.16 billion U.S. dollars from agricultural product export in over eight months of the current 2023-24 fiscal year, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday.
The figure registered between April 1 and Dec. 15 this year showed a decline from over 2.54 billion dollars recorded in the same period a year ago, according to the ministry's data.
Among the country's earnings from exported goods, agricultural products ranked second so far this fiscal year after manufactured goods, which recorded over 6.51 billion dollars.
Myanmar's total exports during this period surpassed 10.13 billion dollars, down from 11.91 billion dollars registered in the same period a year earlier.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animal products, marine products, minerals, forest products and manufacturing goods. ■
