SEOUL, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Tuesday named new intelligence agency chief and foreign minister, according to the presidential office.
Cho Tae-yong, incumbent top presidential security adviser, was appointed as the director of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Cho Tae-yul, former vice foreign minister and ambassador to the United Nations, was named as the new minister of foreign affairs.
The two nominees are subject to a parliamentary confirmation hearing. ■
