ULAN BATOR, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Mongolian central bank's monetary policy council has decided to keep the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 13 percent, Byadran Lkhagvasuren, governor of the Bank of Mongolia said Thursday.
"We have decided to keep the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 13 percent to support the country's economic growth and stabilize inflation around the target rate," the governor said during a news conference.
The country has set a goal to reduce its inflation rate to around 6 percent by the end of this year. ■
