NEW DELHI, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Indian government Thursday said the goods (merchandise) sector has surpassed the services sector in exports.
"The last financial year recorded an export of 762 billion U.S. dollars. Of this 453 billion dollars were merchandise exports," India's Federal Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said during a press conference.
There are about 11 billion dollars worth of electrical machinery and equipment exports, about 11 billion dollars worth of mobile phones export, he added. ■
