CHARIKAR, Afghanistan, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Police have discovered a variety of ammunition including anti-personnel mines and explosive devices in east Afghanistan's Parwan province, said a statement of the provincial police office on Tuesday.
During the recent operations in Sayed Khil district, the counter-terror police discovered and seized a huge quantity of ammunition including three pieces of anti-personnel mines, a piece of magnetic bomb, six shells of RPG-7 and other explosive objects, the statement said.
In a separate case, police apprehended two drug smugglers and discovered 10 kg of opium poppy from their possessions in northern Baghlan province on Monday, a statement of provincial police office said. ■
