Vietnam's budget collection down 9.2 pct in 10 months

HANOI, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam posted a budget collection of 1,398.7 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 56.8 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of this year, down 9.2 percent year-on-year, according to the latest statistics of the General Statistics Office.

Domestic revenue over the months declined 5.9 percent from the same period of last year to 1,157.7 trillion dong (47 billion dollars), while the revenue from import-export activities decreased by 21.9 percent to 188.8 trillion dong (7.6 billion dollars).

Vietnam's budget spending stood at 1,357.6 trillion dong (55.2 billion dollars) from January to October, up 11.4 percent year-on-year.

Regular spending stood at 873 trillion dong (35.5 billion dollars), up 3.8 percent year-on-year, according to the office.
