KABUL, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Two persons were killed and nine others were injured as a blast hit the Police District 18 of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on Thursday evening, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.
The blast took place in a market and police have initiated an investigation to determine the reason for the blast, the official said, without providing more details.
Locals said that the blast occurred at around 7:30 p.m. local time in the Dasht-e-Barchi area, inflicting casualties.
This is the second blast in Dasht-e-Barch over the past two weeks. Previously, in the parking lot of a market in Dasht-e-Barch, three cars were damaged in a blast. ■
