YANGON, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Stakeholders in Myanmar's avocado supply chain are seeking a strong market to expand their international market shares for avocado export in the upcoming season, state-owned newspaper Global New Light of Myanmar reported Wednesday.
The report, citing the Myanmar Avocado Producer and Exporter Association, said that market potential and prices of avocado this year are expected to increase thanks to proposals from foreign countries.
Avocado is primarily grown in Myanmar in its northern Shan State and southern Pyin Oo Lwin area. ■
