KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian aviation group AirAsia X announced on Tuesday that it has recorded 80 percent passenger load factor in the third quarter, up by 7 percentage points year-on-year.
AirAsia X said in a statement that its capacity also surged over nine times year on year to 1.01 million seats during the quarter.
This performance came on the back of a 10 times year on year increase in the number of passengers, with over 807,000 passengers were carried in the third quarter compared to nearly 80,500 passengers in the same period last year.
Flight frequency soared to 114 flights per week by the end of the third quarter compared to 23 flights during the end of the same period last year. ■
