HONG KONG, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Izu Islands, Japan region at 01:31:17 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.04 degrees north latitude and 140.00 degrees east longitude. ■
