HANOI, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam posted a budget revenue of over 1,223 trillion Vietnamese dong (50.1 billion U.S. dollars) in the first nine months of this year, an annual decrease of 8.3 percent, according to the Ministry of Finance.
The state budget revenue during this period accounted for 75.5 percent of the estimate.
Domestic revenue over the months declined 3.2 percent from the same period of last year to over 1,013.7 trillion dong (41.5 billion dollars), while the revenue from import-export activities decreased by 26.3 percent to 163.8 trillion dong (6.7 billion dollars).
Difficulties faced by businesses in their operations and the enforcement of financial support policies for people and firms are the main reasons behind the fall, Vietnam News Agency reported Wednesday, citing Mai Xuan Thanh, director general of the General Department of Taxation. ■
