MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Work for construction of a health clinic has started in Dawlat Abad district of north Afghanistan's Balkh province, provincial director for public health Najibullah Tawana said Wednesday.
To be completed within three months, the clinic would provide health services to 7,000 people annually in the district and adjoining areas, said the official.
The Afghan authorities provided an ambulance and blood bank to a health clinic in Darqad district of the northern Takhar province days ago, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported. ■
