MANILA, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- A policeman died and two others were critically wounded in a shooting incident inside a police station in the Philippine capital shortly before noon on Monday, local police chief said.
Robert Baesa, police chief of Taguig City in Metro Manila, said that a policeman shot dead his colleague after an argument. Another police officer, who tried to intervene, also got shot and was sent to hospital, he added.
Baesa said a third police officer who witnessed the shooting shot the suspect before controlling him.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fighting and the shooting.
A video on social media showed frantic police officers carrying an unconscious male police officer to a police car. ■
