HONG KONG, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan at 16:01:50 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 194.1 km, was initially determined to be at 36.43 degrees north latitude and 70.81 degrees east longitude. ■
