KABUL, May 21 (Xinhua) -- A military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan's northern Samangan province on Sunday, a local media outlet the Tolonews reported.
Quoting an official named Mahajir, the media outlet reported that the crash took place in the Sayad area of the Khalm district before noon.
Mahajir, according to the private media outlet, didn't say if there were any casualties nor provided more details.
However, Tolonews quoting unnamed sources said that two pilots of the chopper were killed in the accident.
The defense ministry has yet to make a comment. ■
