TOKYO, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Three men have been taken into custody after robbing a luxury watch store in central western Tokyo on Monday, according to local authorities.
At around 6:30 p.m. local time, three masked men broke into a luxury watch store in Tokyo's posh Ginza district.
Videos posted on social media showed that the robbers smashed the showcases, and carried off watches and other items before fleeing the scene in a car.
The men took more than 30 luxury watches with a total worth of about 100 million yen (about 740,672 U.S. dollars), according to local media reports.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department reported that all three men are now taken into custody.
Located in an area with multiple brand stores and restaurants, the shop is about 400 meters west of Tokyo Metro Ginza Station. ■
