YANGON, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Twenty Myanmar students from Yangon wearing their white and green school uniform on Thursday joined the live talk of the Shenzhou-15 spaceship's taikonauts conducted from China's space station.

Thiha Thu, a 10th grader from a high school in Yangon's Mingaladon township, is one of the 20 Myanmar students who joined the event titled: "Talk with Taikonauts" via video link.

"I feel proud to join the event. From the event, we have come to know the lifestyle of astronauts in space. We have also witnessed the technological development of China," Thiha Thu told Xinhua.

Eindra Myint Mo, an 11th grader who wants to become a pilot, also got a chance to join the live talk of the Shenzhou-15 spaceship's taikonauts from China's Tiangong space station.

"I am very interested in space and the event," she said.

"Before that, I only knew there is no gravity in space. Now, I have come to know what can be eaten and what can't be eaten in a spaceship and how to drink in space," Eindra said.

Soe Yati Tun and friends from a high school in Yangon's Dagon township also joined the special event beamed from China's Tiangong space station.

"Going to space is risky and it is an honorable job," she said.

Daw Maw Maw, a teacher who moderated the Myanmar students during the event, told Xinhua that the students will get inspiration and motivation by attending an event like that.

"For Myanmar students, it is the first time being invited by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," she said.

The 20 Myanmar students joining the event have been selected from four high schools in the four districts of Yangon, she added.

The Ministry of Education of Myanmar and the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar jointly organized the Yangon event.
