ISLAMABAD, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Three terrorists were killed in a counter-terror operation in Bannu district in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Tuesday evening.
Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation late Monday night in Nurar area of the district on the presence of the terrorists, the military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
"During the conduct of the operation, fierce fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists," resulting in the killing of the terrorists, said the statement.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists, the ISPR said. ■
