NEW DELHI, March 20 (Xinhua) -- India and Japan on Monday exchanged notes of another tranche of 300 billion Japanese Yen (around 2.20 billion U.S. dollars) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail funded by the Japanese government.

This would be the fourth tranche of the loan agreement between the two countries, and will be provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agreement.

The two sides also signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of Japanese language education, in the presence of visiting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

The Japanese prime minister arrived here on Monday for a two-day official visit and invited Modi for the G7 Summit to be held in Hiroshima, Japan, in May.

Modi also invited his Japanese counterpart for the G20 Summit to be held in New Delhi in September.
