BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah left for a state visit to Türkiye on Monday, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations.
During the state visit from March 6 to March 9, the Sultan is expected to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation before witnessing the signing of documents between the two governments.
According to a Brunei government statement, the state visit will reaffirm the close bilateral relations between the two countries and promote greater cooperation, including in trade and investment, education, culture and defense. ■
