YANGON, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar Weightlifting Federation (MWF) has organized a final trial in the capital city Naypyitaw to select the country's weightlifters for the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
"It is the final selection of national weightlifting athletes for upcoming SEA Games in Cambodia," Myo Min, the MWF's joint secretary, told Xinhua on Saturday.
The federation selected two male weightlifters and four female weightlifters from the final event on Friday for the SEA Games, he said.
Myanmar also selected national boxing athletes and national badminton players for the SEA Games last month.
The 32nd SEA Games is scheduled to be held in Cambodia in May this year. ■
