KABUL, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Afghan caretaker government Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar on Wednesday called for enhancing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the state-run Bakhtar News Agency reported.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, saying that Afghanistan and Pakistan are two neighboring countries and should have good relations.
Matters on mutual interests, including development of bilateral relations, trade, regional connectivity and economic cooperation came under discussion in the meeting, the report said.
As head of a ranking delegation, Asif visited Kabul on Wednesday and held a meeting with Baradar. ■
