Powerful earthquake rocks central Indonesia, no potential for tsunami

JAKARTA, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- A 7.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Indonesia's province of North Sulawesi in the central part of the country on Wednesday, but did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami, the country's meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency said. ■
