NEW DELHI, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The India Meteorological Department issued an alert on Sunday for three-day intense cold wave conditions and fog over the northwestern part of the country.
The minimum temperatures are in the range of 1-5 degrees Celsius in the region, according to the weather agency.
Delhi and its neighboring states woke up to a chilly and foggy Sunday morning after a brief respite.
Reports said some flights scheduled to depart from the national capital were delayed due to low visibility and railway officials said at least 20 trains were running late. ■
