JAKARTA, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Indonesia's eastern province of Maluku on Friday evening, the country's meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency said.
The quake occurred at 19:44 p.m. (1226 GMT) with its epicenter situated 129 km northwest Maluku Tenggara Barat (Tanimbar) district and a depth of 101 km under the seabed, the agency reported.
The earthquake did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami, it added. ■
