ISLAMABAD, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan condemned an attack on a seminary in Afghanistan's northern Samangan province, which has resulted in a loss of lives and injuries to others, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry has said.
"The government and people of Pakistan extend their sympathies and condolences," the ministry said in a statement on Thursday night.
"We stand in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and the bereaved families in this moment of grief," said the statement.
About 15 people were killed and 22 others injured as a blast ripped through Medressah Jihadia (Jihadi seminary) located in Samangan province's capital Aybak city, 215 km north of the Afghan capital Kabul, according to an Afghan official on condition of anonymity. ■
