KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's new vehicle sales fell 5.8 percent year on year to 61,002 units in October, said the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) on Wednesday.
In a statement, the MAA said the sales of passenger vehicles accounted for 54,498 units while commercial vehicles comprised 6,504 units.
For the 10 months, Malaysia's vehicle sales rose 50.66 percent to 577,902 units from 383,589 units a year ago.
Meanwhile, 58,991 units of cars were produced in October, down from 65,410 units a year earlier. ■
