GENEVA, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- The inaugural Olympic Esports Week will take place in Singapore between June 22 and 25, 2023, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Wednesday.
The four-day festival will feature the first in-person live finals of the Olympic Esports Series, a global virtual and simulated sports competition, the IOC said.
Apart from exhibiting latest technologies, the Olympic Esports Week will also see panel discussions, education sessions and show matches.
Last year's Olympic Virtual Series attracted over 250,000 participants from across 100 countries and regions, competing in virtual and simulated sports including baseball, motorsport, cycling, rowing and sailing. ■
