ISLAMABAD, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) said Monday it has seized a huge cache of narcotics and arrested five smugglers in the Arabian Sea off the country's shores.
The PMSA in a joint operation with Pakistan Customs foiled the smuggling bid involving 420 kg of ice crystal, it said in a statement, adding that the operation was carried out on a tip-off.
The seized drugs are valued at approximately 4.9 billion Pakistani rupees (about 22.1 million U.S. dollars) in the international market, said the PMSA officials. ■
