BISHKEK, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz authorities announced on Tuesday the start of a 90-day vaccination campaign against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The Republican Headquarters for Combatting COVID-19 said the campaign aims to increase the population's vaccination rate with booster doses.
COVID-19 booster doses can be received by all citizens of the republic four to six months after their second shots. At present, Sinopharm and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are available in sufficient quantities in the country, it said.
In total, 206,160 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan since the onset of the pandemic. ■
