NEW DELHI, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Indian government on Friday issued an advisory asking its nationals in and going to Canada to exercise caution and remain vigilant against a "sharp increase in hate crimes and anti-India activities".
The advisory has been issued by India's foreign ministry, saying it has taken up incidents of hate crimes, sectarian violence and anti-India activities with Canada.
The ministry said in view of the increasing incidences of crimes, Indian nationals and students in Canada and those proceeding to Canada for travel or education are advised to exercise due caution and remain vigilant. ■
