KABUL, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- The supreme leader of Afghanistan's Taliban-run caretaker administration Hibatullah Akhundzada has called for interaction with the world community, and encouraged companies to invest in the country, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported Friday.

"We want to have interaction with the world community. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will not allow anyone to interfere in its internal affairs, but is ready to interact with the international community under the Sharia (Islamic law)," the supreme leader said in his speech at a gathering held in Kandahar on Thursday.

More than 3,000 people including tribal elders, religious scholars and ranking officials attended the one-day gathering to discuss issues including ensuring good governance, fighting poverty and winning international recognition of the administration that marked its first anniversary on Aug. 15.

The elusive leader also called to encourage companies to invest in the war-torn country, saying he had instructed the economic commission of the cabinet to facilitate a conducive environment for investment in all fields including banking, mining and agriculture to stabilize the economy of the country.

He also called upon the judiciary to ensure justice in settling issues and apply Sharia or Islamic law equally to all.

Speaking on the occasion, the administration's acting foreign minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi asserted that his country "wants good relations with all countries, but we cannot expect that relations with some countries will be normalized quickly after 20 years of war."
