ISLAMABAD, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- A total of 11 people were killed and 24 others injured in two separate road accidents in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, local media reported Sunday.

At least 10 people were killed and 20 others injured after a bus overturned and fell into a ditch in Hafizabad district of Pakistan's eastern Punjab province.

The accident blamed on overspeeding took place in Jalalpur Bhattian city on Saturday. The rescue team strived to get the bus out of water with the crane's help, the reports said.

In another road accident, one person was killed and four others injured when three jeeps overturned after being hit by a car in Neelum Valley district of the Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

Passengers in all the four vehicles involved were tourists, and those trapped beneath the jeeps became victims in the accident.
