MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition displaying Afghan women's handicrafts is being held in the country's northern Balkh province, organizers said Wednesday.

The two-day exhibition from Tuesday was organized by the Afghan office of International Labor Organization (ILO) in Mazar-I-Sharif, the provincial capital in a bid to support investment and domestic producers in Afghanistan.

Up to 60 small and big woman-run enterprises participated in the exhibition, where traditional clothes, handicrafts, candies as well as homemade foodstuff were displayed in 60 relevant booths, according to the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI).

This is the third and largest exhibition held in the province since the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban in mid-August last year.
