ISLAMABAD, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed when a house collapsed in Tatta Pani area of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, local media reported on Monday.
According to the reports, the accident took place when the beam of the house broke and resulted in its collapse.
Local media said 12 people were in the house at the time of the accident, adding that most of the deceased were children.
A large number of local residents were at the site to help the rescue work, local media said.
Excessive rainfall made the rescue work extremely difficult, it added.
All the victims were shifted to a local hospital. ■
